DIP Switches

A DIP switch (Dual In-line Package switch) is a small electronic switch that is used to configure or control settings on electronic devices, such as computers, printers, or other embedded systems. It typically consists of a set of small toggle switches mounted on a plastic or metal housing, arranged in a two-row configuration with multiple switches.

Each switch in a DIP switch can be toggled between two positions (ON or OFF) to change the device’s behavior or settings, such as configuring hardware options, selecting operational modes, or assigning addresses. DIP switches are often used when settings need to be manually set during installation or configuration and are commonly found in older or simpler devices.
