Capacitive Touch Switches
Capacitive switches detect changes in capacitance — the ability of an object to store an electrical charge. When a human finger approaches or touches the sensor, it alters the local electric field, which in turn changes the capacitance. This change is then detected by the circuit, and the switch is activated or deactivated accordingly. Capacitive switches provide a highly reliable and modern alternative to traditional mechanical switches, offering benefits like durability, responsive touch activation, and resistance to wear and tear. They are commonly used in consumer electronics, home appliances, automotive systems, and a variety of other applications where user touch interaction is desired.
